Product Description: Iranian Polystyrene
-
Polystyrene is a lightweight, durable, and cost-effective thermoplastic used widely in insulation, packaging, and construction. Iran manufactures both Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) for domestic and export markets.
-
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is made by expanding polystyrene beads with steam, resulting in a lightweight, closed-cell foam with excellent thermal insulation and shock absorption. It’s ideal for walls, roofs, and underfloor insulation.
-
XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) has a higher compressive strength and water resistance compared to EPS. It is widely used in cold storage facilities, foundation insulation, and load-bearing applications.
-
Available in standard board sizes (e.g., 1200×600 mm, 2000×1000 mm) and thicknesses (20 mm to 100 mm). Density options range from 10 kg/m³ to 40 kg/m³, depending on the application.
-
Key benefits of Iranian polystyrene include:
-
Low thermal conductivity (λ ≈ 0.030–0.038 W/m·K)
-
Lightweight and easy to install
-
Resistant to moisture, rot, and insects
-
Cost-effective for large-scale construction
-
Compatible with concrete and finishing layers
-
-
Iranian EPS/XPS boards comply with EN 13163, ASTM C578, and ISO 9001 quality standards. These products are exported to Iraq, Turkey, Russia, Armenia, and Gulf countries, packed in film-wrapped bundles or customized packaging.
